KATHMANDU, Feb 10: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that it is necessary to take serious steps to strengthen the economy.
Addressing the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Friday, President Bhandari said that despite the economic indicators showing signs of improvement in the economic situation, there is no reason to worry about its sustainability.

She said that the production sector could not be strengthened due to the problem of liquidity, lack of sufficient resources for investment and also due to external factors.
President Bhandari said earlier that some of the problems of the economy are caused by the fluctuating world economy and the Covid-19 pandemic.
