KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Ashok Kumar Rai said implementation of the six-point agreement reached with Nepal Teachers Federation was at the hand of the sovereign parliament.
At a program organized on Saturday on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of National Campaign for Education Nepal (NCE), Minister Rai clarified that the parliament could amend the School Education Bill that was already registered in the parliament. The government would play a facilitating role for this, he added.
At the programme, Assistant General-Secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC), Badri Pandey said conclusion would be drawn on consensus after holding serious discussion in the concerned committee on the bill tabled at the parliament.
