JALESWAR, Nov 7: Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) Chairman Mahantha Thakur has made it clear that it is his party's obligation to form alliances with various parties in the House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly elections to be held on November 20.
Releasing the party's election manifesto for the upcoming elections in Jaleswar on Sunday, he said that he has cooperated with various big parties in the elections to empower the Madhesi people.
Three student unions form alliance in FSU elections
Chairman Thakur said that LSP had to form an alliance to fulfill the voice of the Madhesh during the agitation and to bring justice to the Madhesh. He said, “The friends in jail should be released, the false political case should be dismissed, the issue of citizenship and constitutional amendment should be addressed. Also Madhesh and Madhesi should be empowered. Therefore, the alliance is an obligation of LSP.” In response to a question from the media, President Thakur said that LSP is capable of giving more rights to Madhesh and Madhesi people.
In the manifesto, the rights of Madhesh and Madhesi are guaranteed from citizenship to the constitution, education, health, agriculture, protection of democracy, federalism with identity, continuation of parliamentary system, construction of a solid and practical foreign policy in the interest of the nation, good governance, building a society free from corruption, women empowerment, youth empowerment, etc. Leaders Saratsingh Bhandari, Anil Kumar Jha and Umakant Jha jointly announced the manifesto in that event.
