DAMAULI, Nov 9: Jailbirds in Tanahun prison's celebrated Tihar festival with joy after they received tika from their sisters. Jailer Narayan Adhikari said that 25 prisoners received tika from their sisters in the jail.

He said the jailbirds received tika till 5:00 pm. The inmates are elated to have been able to observe Bhai Tika, a celebration of brotherhood and sisterhood, despite being behind the bars.
There are altogether 48 detainees and 62 inmates doing their time in this jail. The jail has the capacity to accommodate only 25 persons. RSS
