RJP Nepal bags in Jaleshwar, Maoist in Bardibas Municipality

GAUSHALA, Sept 24: Rastriya Janata Party –Nepal candidates have won the mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in Jaleshwar Municipality in Mahottari district.

GAUSHALA, Sept 24: Rastriya Janata Party –Nepal candidates have won the mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in Jaleshwar Municipality in Mahottari district. 


Ram Shankar Mishra was elected as the mayor by securing 5,180 votes while his nearest rival from Nepal Democratic Forum Suresh Sah secured 3,361 votes.

Similarly, Munchun Devi Mahato of RJP-N was elected  as the deputy mayor by securing 4,566 votes while her nearest rival from Nepali Congress Anita Devi Sharma received 2,716 votes. 


Likewise, CPN (Maoist Center) candidates have been elected the mayor and deputy mayor of Bardibas Municipality. 


Bidur Kumar Karki was elected the mayor by securing 9,187 votes while his nearest rival from NC Pralhad Kshetri got 8,179 votes. Likewise, Krishna Kumari Gautam has been elected deputy mayor by securing 8,835 votes while her nearest rival from Nepali Congress Tara Devi received 7,023 votes.
