Jayamati-Karna Bahadur Journalism award to jurno Kafle

TAPLEJUNG, Feb 19: Press Chautari Nepal (PCN), Taplejung Chapter honoured local journalist Manmadi Kafle with the 'Jayamati-Karna Bahadur Journalism Award' amid a programme here on Saturday.

TAPLEJUNG, Feb 19: Press Chautari Nepal (PCN), Taplejung Chapter honoured local journalist Manmadi Kafle with the 'Jayamati-Karna Bahadur Journalism Award' amid a programme here on Saturday. 


The award carrying a purse of Rs 10,101 was presented to Kafle in recognition of his contribution to the journalism sector. Parliamentarian Bhupendra Thebe and Bal Bahadur Tamang, who helped set up the revolving fund, handed over the award to Kafle.

A revolving fund worth Rs 200,000 was set up by Tamang in memory of his parents for the award to the journalists contributing to the societal development through journalism. 

Feted at the programme were PCN, Taplejung Chapter's first President Leela Chakra Gurung for playing instrumental role in establishing Taplejung Chapter and Federation of Nepalese Journalists Taplejung Chapter President Keshav Bhattarai. 


Award recipient Kafle donated the amount he received with the award for the under-construction elderly home in Taplejung. RSS
