JANAKPUR, May 5: Nepal's only train service, the Jayanagar-Janakpur-Bhangaha train service, will remain closed for the next three days in view of the Lok Sabha election in India.
The Lok Sabha election is scheduled to take place on May 7 (Baisakh 25) in Bhanjharpur parliamentary constituency of Madhubani District, India.
Jayanagar-Janakpur-Bangaha train service resumes
According to a notice issued by Nepal Railway Company Limited, the train service will remain closed for three days due to the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Bhanjharpur parliamentary constituency of Madhubani district, India.
As it has to be closed for 24 hours before the election, the Jayanagar-Janakpur-Bhangaha train service will not operate from Sunday, according to the notice issued by the General Manager of the company, Niranjan Jha.
According to the decision of the Border District Coordination Committee comprising representatives from both Nepal and India, the train service will remain completely closed until Tuesday.
