The event was part of Jazzmandu’s educational initiative for young school students to make them experience world music and also to get them close to the musicians through the inspirational and interactive concert, the organizers have said. After the opening concert the festival moved to Jazz Upstairs bar in Lazimpat.

Now in its fourteenth year, Jazzmandu music festival is an annual jazz festival based in Kathmandu. Every year global jazz artists line up with local jazz artists and classical musicians for a weeklong celebration of jazz music. This year’s festival will continue till October 26 with performances at places throughout Kathmandu.

The grand finale will be held at Hotel Yak & Yeti where all the local and international artists will jam together in an improvised session.
