KATHMANDU, June 20: Six films were able to secure awards at the Nepal America International Film Festival 2021 on Monday.
Winners of the Nepal America Film Festival 2021 that kicked off virtually on June 17 were announced on Monday.

The four-day long film festival featured 30 films from more than 14 different countries, according to the organizers.
‘Mannu: Sprouts of Endurance’ by Ramdas Kadavallur and ‘So what if the Goats Die’ by Sofia Alaoui won Special Jury Mention Award while ‘Gramercy’ by Pat Heywood and Jamil McGinnis and ‘Julungo’ by Rajesh Prasad Khatri were picked for Jury Awards for best in Shorts.
Likewise, ‘Spontaneous’ by Lori Felker was picked for Jury Awards for the best in Experimental Film and ‘Mother, I Am Suffocating’ by Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese for Jury Awards for best in Feature.
Similarly, ‘Mother, I Am Suffocating’ has also been awarded the Grand Jury Award. A six-member jury panel was formed to select the best film for the international film festival.
