Jit paired with Indian opponent

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Nepali archer Jit Bahadur Moktan has finished in the 60th position in the men's ranking round of 70 m individual recurve in the Rio Olympics on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Nepali archer Jit Bahadur Moktan has finished in the 60th position in the men's ranking round of 70 m individual recurve in the Rio Olympics on Friday.



Moktan collected 607 points.



Following the score of the ranking round, he has been paired with India archer Atanu Das for Tuesday's competition. 



Jit's Indian opponent Atanu Das is fifth in the ranking with 683 points.  South Korea's Kim Woo-jin made the most of perfect shooting conditions to set a 72-arrow world record.



The world champion's total of 700 points during the ranking round eclipsed the previous record of 699 set by compatriot Im Dong-hyun at the London Olympics four years ago.
