Journalists take part in race competition

POKHARA, June 24: Former Athletes Forum Kaski on Friday organized the Late Shiva Shanker Ranjit Second Men and Women Media Person Race Competition to mark the occasion of the International Olympics Day.

POKHARA, June 24: Former Athletes Forum Kaski on Friday organized the Late Shiva Shanker Ranjit Second Men and Women Media Person Race Competition to mark the occasion of the International Olympics Day. 



In the 5 km race held under the banner 'Sport for Health and Peace', Bhim Thapa, Bijaya Nepali and Devendra Pun came first, second and third in the men's category. In the women's category, Parbati Thapa clinched the race title while Sapana Adhikari became the first runner – up and Susmita Subedi, the second runner – up. 



The winner, first runner – up and second runner – up took home Rs 7,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3000 along with medals and certificates. 



On the occasion, journalist Narayan Karki was honoured with the annual Senior Journalist Award conferred by the Former Athletes Forum, Kaski. 



A total 37 media related individuals including 14 women journalists took part in the race. Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City's Mayor, Man Bahadur GC, conferred the awards to the victorious athletes. RSS
