KATHMANDU, June 13: The election process during the convention of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal has been halted on Thursday.
Initially, the party’s election committee had commenced the election process for various officials, with Upendra Yadav being unanimously elected on Wednesday.

However, the party has now decided to elect members of the central committee and office-bearers through consensus, bypassing the election process.
According to JSP Nepal Spokesperson Manish Suman, the convention aims to elect a 201-member central committee and 20 office-bearers.
The party’s leadership structure will include one chairman, one co-chairman, one vice chairman, two general secretaries, three deputy general secretaries, seven secretaries, and one treasurer.
