KATHMANDU, March 25: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) leader Deepak Karki has been appointed as the Minister of State for Forest and Environment.
Purna Basnet, head of the party's central publicity department, said that Karki had been appointed the Minister of State for Forest and Environment. Karki is taking the oath of office and secrecy later today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Karki is an elected lawmaker from Dhanusha Constituency-1.
