Jumla awaits vote count

JUMLA, Dec 7: Voters of Jumla are eagerly waiting for results of parliamentary and provincial assembly elections. Prakash Dhungana, chief election officer said that six groups were formed to count votes.

JUMLA, Dec 7: Voters of Jumla are eagerly waiting for results of parliamentary and provincial assembly elections. Prakash Dhungana, chief election officer said that six groups were formed to count votes.


Since the first phase election on November 26, the ballot boxes have been kept safely inside the Chief Election Officer’s Office with wired fence. Vote counts will start from 5 PM tomorrow.

Representatives of the Left Alliance and the Democratic Alliance have been guarding the vote despite cold temperatures.


Out of 59,058 eligible voters, 70.4% (41,580) have cast their votes in Jumla. Of them, 22,718 were female.
