Jumla to organize Investment Promotion Conference

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: In order to lure more investments in the districts of Karnali Province, a conference on investment promotion is scheduled to be held in Jumla, a rising market in the Karnali. Chandannath Municipality of Jumla district is going to organize the conference for the first time aiming at attracting investments for industrial development there.

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: In order to lure more investments in the districts of Karnali Province, a conference on investment promotion is scheduled to be held in Jumla, a rising market in the Karnali. Chandannath Municipality of Jumla district is going to organize the conference for the first time aiming at attracting investments for industrial development there. 


Organising a news conference here Sunday, Mayor Kanti Sejuwal said the conference is being organized on September 14 with the theme of 'Unveiling Development Potentials'.

Minister for Finance Dr.Yubaraj Khatiwada, National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr. Pushpa Kandel, heads of Kathmandu-based diplomatic missions of different countries, entrepreneurs, representatives from the donor agencies and banks and financial institutions among others are supposed to attend the conference. 


During the press meet, it was shared that tourists could visit Shey Phoksundo Lake, Rara Lake, Sinja valley and the like in a single day of trekking. Mayor Sejuwal added, "We have charged minimum tax in comparison to other local units. Municipality here would offer a heavy discount on the tax to those willing to consider investments in Jumla district."  RSS
