KATHMANDU, June 7: Sambhav Sirohiya, the managing director (MD) of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), has accused Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane of attempting to suppress news related to his involvement in a cooperative fraud scam.
In a video message released on Friday morning, Sirohiya said that the Home Minister requested the media house not to publish information about the scam as they were investigating it.

Furthermore, Sirohiya alleged that the recent arrest of Kailash Sirohiya, the chairman of KMG and Sambhav’s father, was a retaliatory act by Home Minister Lamichhane. According to Sambhav, these charges were fabricated after the media house refused to comply with the minister's request.
