KAPILVASTU, May 11: The District Administration Office (DAO), Kapilvastu, has sealed off the district for a week from Monday (May 11) 5 pm to Sunday (May 17) midnight owing to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the district.
With 10 new cases confirmed earlier today, the district alone has reported 15 infected patients in the last five days.

Organizing a press conference earlier today, DAO officials said that an emergency meeting of the District Security Committee decided to seal off the district to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus disease.
According to the restriction rules, arriving in and departing from the district is now prohibited. Operation of all business activities, industries, and transportation services other than the emergency ones are also restricted.
