Karnali: Maoist Center’s Pariyar appointed as minister without portfolio

KATHMANDU, April 24: Chief minister (CM) of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has expanded the provincial Cabinet for the first time.


Two weeks after being appointed as the CM, Kandel on Wednesday appointed the chief whip of the Maoist Center's Parliamentary Party, Ransingh Pariyar, as a minister without portfolio.

The newly-appointed Minister Pariyar took the oath of office and secrecy. He was sworn in by Province Chief Tilak Pariyar.


A meeting of the Maoist Center parliamentary party held this morning decided to make Pariyar a minister without portfolio. Accordingly, Chief Minister Kandel appointed him as a minister.
