Kartik Aaryan has been a pin-up idol for young boys and girls, who are crazy about his monologues in films like 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' franchise and 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'. He then went on to explore loverboy roles in films like 'Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh', however his association with Imtiaz Ali with 'Love Aaj Kal' has made him discover an unknown side to him - his intense side as an actor.
Kartik Aaryan, who plays Raghu and Veer in the film, said in an interview that these roles have helped him evolve as an actor; it has also made discover his intense side. For his role as Raghu, he reportedly had to work hard on his body language, including the way he blinks and smiles. The film, which stars him opposite Sara Ali Khan, is set to release on Valentine's Day on February 14.

It also seems like it's not just Kartik who's enjoyed associating with a filmmaker like Imtiaz, but the latter, too, seems to feel the same. Buzz is that the filmmaker is planning to do another film with Kartik in the lead. A biopic based on the life of a Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila, the film will be produced by Imtiaz and directed by his brother Sajid Ali, who also directed 'Laila Majnu' last year.
Amar Singh Chamkla, on whom the biopic is based on, was a popular singer in the 80s, who was killed brutally by a group of armed youths on motorcycles. His wife and two of his band members were also killed with him. The case remains unsolved till date.
