Kathmandu: Balen Shah takes a lead of 8000 plus votes against UML’s Sthapit

KATHMANDU, May 18: Independent candidate Balen Shah is leading the mayoral race of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) by a margin of more than 8000 votes against his closest rival Keshav Sthapit of the CPN-UML.

KATHMANDU, May 18: Independent candidate Balen Shah is leading the mayoral race of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) by a margin of more than 8000 votes against his closest rival Keshav Sthapit of the CPN-UML.

In the ongoing vote counting, Shah has received 16,617 votes while UML’s Sthapit has received 8,595 votes. Similarly, Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Srijana Singh has received 7,729 votes.
