Five more people succumbed to COVID-19 in the Valley in the past 24 hours


KATHMANDU, Sept 26: The Kathmandu Valley recorded 809 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the valley’s COVID-19 case tally to 21,307.


According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 633 people in Kathmandu, 72 in Bhaktapur and 104 in Lalitpur districts were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Likewise, the MoHP also recorded five fatalities linked with the novel coronavirus disease on Sunday. Three of the new death cases were reported in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur district.


Kathmandu district has become the district with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal.


Both Bhaktapur and Lalitpur are also among the districts with the highest number of COVID-19 cases.


Of the 809 new cases detected in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday, 294 are females and 515 are males.
