Kathmandu Valley records highest single day spike of 301 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Kathmandu Valley has recorded the highest single day spike of 301 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Kathmandu Valley has recorded the highest single day spike of 301 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


According to the spokesperson for the MoHP, Jageshwar Gautam, 230 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Kathmandu, 47 in Lalitpur and 24 others in Bhaktapur district on Wednesday.

232 new cases of COVID-19 were detected on Tuesday in Kathmandu Valley. The number was 224 on Monday, 166 on Sunday, 216 on Saturday, 182 on Friday and 200 on Thursday.


As many as 1,521 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection in Kathmandu Valley in the past one week alone.
