‘Khukri Music Nation’ announces its top 16 contestants

Khukri Rum has come up with a virtual musical contest titled ‘Khukri Music Nation’. This virtual contest allows upcoming singers to show their talent and take part in competition from their home.

Khukri Rum has come up with a virtual musical contest titled ‘Khukri Music Nation’. This virtual contest allows upcoming singers to show their talent and take part in competition from their home.

The top 16 contestants were selected on January 1. They — Anish Shrestha, Anjan Ranabhat, Unique Bajracharya, Kiran Bhusal, Mahesh Chapagain, Monika Rai, Sandesh Gurung, Sagar Rai, Santosh Ghale, Umit Shrestha, Sabin Magar, Raju Gurung, Darshika Regmi, Kusum Giri, Ashim Thapa and Jigmee Wangchuk— performed live in an online concert broadcasted on its official YouTube channel and Dish Home.


They were selected by the panel of judges including Bipul Chettri, Samriddhi Rai and Sabin Rai. The enthusiasts’ applicants had uploaded/submitted their musical cover videos in Khukrimusic.com, the official website for the contest.


In the next round, there will be voting from the audience. One can vote for their favorite artists by visiting Khukrimusic.com.


The quest for the new Nepali music star will end with the winner announcement on February 21, 2021, who wins a Khukri Musical contract worth of Rs 1,100,000, and will have an opportunity to perform with various artists in Nepal according to a statement released by Khukri Rum.
