Oli, Dahal focused on party unity and NA election

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist-Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal held a discussion to expedite the process of unifying their parties. 


During a meeting held at Chair Oli’s residence at Balkot, Bhaktapur, two chairpersons discuss the agenda for the meeting of Party Unification Coordination Committee held on Monday, Chair Dahal informed.

MC Chair Dahal for the second arrived at Balkot on Saturday afternoon to meet UML Chair Oli.  Both leaders focused on the party unification and Nationa Assembly election. They talked about the NA election, the report submitted by a joint task, ideological issues and guiding principles of the new party after the unification.


The joint task force has agreed on the 43 seats out of 56 seats of the National Assembly (NA) allocation left alliance, where UML will get 29 seats and 14 seats for MC. The alliance will hold a discussion with other parties for remaining 13 seats.


Party Unification Coordination Committee will make the final decision of the report of joint task force committee.
