KATHMANDU, Dec 2: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is set to distribute identification and identity cards to impoverished households, with the recruitment of 209 enumerators and 21 supervisors for the initiative.
The data collection for identifying these households will be contracted, with an approved budget and program from the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation.
KMC to collect data of poor households from April 7
As per the information released by the KMC on Saturday, the data collection process will utilize tablets, facilitating the identification of poor households and the subsequent distribution of identity cards within the metropolis.
Interested Nepali citizens eligible for data collection and supervision roles are invited to apply online within a 21-day period. Applications will exclusively be accepted through onlineapplication.kathmandu.gov.np.
Supervisors, who will receive a monthly payment of Rs 36,730, are required to possess at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in subjects such as statistics, population, economics, or mathematics from a recognized educational institution. Additionally, they must have basic computer knowledge.
For accountants earning Rs 34,902 per month, the eligibility criteria include having passed at least the certificate level or equivalent in subjects like statistics, population, economics, or mathematics, coupled with basic computer knowledge.
Following the scrutiny of applications based on the specified criteria, a shortlist will be prepared, and shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The notice emphasizes giving priority to Kathmandu metropolis residents, individuals with a minimum of one month's experience in census or similar surveys, and those previously selected through this program.
