KMC bans selling goods in bicycles and carts in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has banned selling goods in bicycles and handcarts. The metropolis has issued a notification on Tuesday to this effect.

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has banned selling goods in bicycles and handcarts. The metropolis has issued a notification on Tuesday to this effect.

It is mentioned in the notification that there has been an unauthorized disruption of public traffic due to unauthorized businesses on the road, keeping materials for private use, doing business with goods on carts or bicycles, etc. KMC has warned that people and organizations involved in such activities not to be involved in the activities prohibited by the metropolis or face action. 


The notification states, "If any business is conducted on the road (sidewalk) or other public place within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City area, or if the sidewalk is used or occupied without authorization, such goods, improper use or other structures, other materials or goods kept for business purposes will be confiscated."
