Nam Raj Dhakal, Chief of the Information Technology Department of the Call Center, said that the center has the capacity to receive 15 telephone calls at a time.

Inaugurating the Call Center, KMC Mayor Balendra Shah said that a system was developed to hear complaints of citizens in order to establish the metropolis as a responsible local-level government.

The operators at the Call Center fill basic details including telephone, time, complaints and queries in the software while talking with service seekers. The operators also fill the details of officers related to complaints and queries. The system automatically sends SMS and email to the authorized persons.

Dhakal shared that the system will now be operational only during office hours.
