KMC cautions public against buying bottled water without proper labeling

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has urged the general public not to buy bottled water that does not have proper labeling.

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has urged the general public not to buy bottled water that does not have proper labeling.


Citing growing market anomalies in bottled water, the metropolis has cautioned the people in the matter. Issuing a public notice on Wednesday, the KMC advised everyone not to purchase bottled water with damaged containers, without MRP and proper labeling and other necessary details.

“If any error is found in production date, transport and distribution on bottled water, action will be taken against the sellers concerned as per the law,” reads the KMC notice.
