KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has directed all concerned to approve the design of their buildings within 90 days if they are built in line with the existing building code of the Kathmandu metropolis.
Issuing a notice, the metropolis has instructed the buildings to pass the design approval within 3 months, whose construction has met the required standards but the design approval has not been passed.

"If the government, private or any kind of buildings constructed within the Kathmandu metropolitan area are built without obtaining design approval but meet the required standards, owners of such buildings are requested to submit application for the design approval within 90 days from the date of publication of the notice," reads the notice.
