KMC fines company Rs 50,000 for failing to remove outdated sky bridge banners

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on a company for not removing banners from a sky bridge.

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on a company for not removing banners from a sky bridge.


According to the metropolis, the advertising company was fined Rs 50,000 after it was found that the company did not remove the outdated banner.

According to Rajan Karki, the store in-charge of the city police, Innovative Concept Pvt Ltd, which placed the banner, was fined by the metropolis.


“They are supposed to ensure that the banners and posters are removed after their scheduled display time. Since this rule was not adhered to, the fine was levied against the company on Thursday as a corrective measure,” he said.
