KMC gives 24 hour ultimatum to remove shops in Indra Chowk and Asan area

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started a campaign to remove shops operating illegally in temple and heritage areas. The metropolis has given a 24-hour ultimatum to remove such shops operating in the temple areas of Indra Chowk and Asan.

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started a campaign to remove shops operating illegally in temple and heritage areas. The metropolis has given a 24-hour ultimatum to remove such shops operating in the temple areas of Indra Chowk and Asan.


The metropolis, which is removing unauthorized digital hoarding boards and illegal structures, has started removing the shops that are operating by encroaching upon heritage and temple areas.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No 25 issued a notice and instructed to remove food businesses around Santaneshwor Mahadev Temple located in Indra Chowk, Naudable (pottery pots) and other businesses in Bheda Sing Bhavani Shankar Temple area.
