KMC makes it mandatory for petrol pumps to build and provide toilets free of cost for their customers

KATHMANDU, Feb 1: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to enforce standardization guidelines for the petrol pumps operating inside the metropolis.

KATHMANDU, Feb 1: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to enforce standardization guidelines for the petrol pumps operating inside the metropolis.


Following a meeting with the stakeholders on Thursday, the KMC decided to make the gasoline stations to put on yellow color in their operation units. In addition, the fuel refilling centers will have to build toilets in their premises and to provide the service to its customers free of cost.

The fuel dispatching staff will have to wear brown color personal protective equipment, while the fuel station area will have to maintain the greenery in the premises. The KMC has announced to provide fundamental training on fire-fighting to the staff of the petrol pumps.
