KMC Mayor Balen floats a proposal to appoint food inspectors to check food quality

KATHMANDU, August 28: Balendra Shah (Balen), the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has proposed appointing food technologists in the metropolitan city.

KATHMANDU, August 28: Balendra Shah (Balen), the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has proposed appointing food technologists in the metropolitan city.


He proposed appointing food  inspectors to inspect the quality of food being sold by restaurants, hotels, vegetables and meat shops within the metropolitan city.


Shah proposed to appoint food technologists to monitor the quality of food. According to him, four to five such technicians will be appointed. Those technicians will test the quality of food in the metropolis.
