KMC offering free legal advice to general people from 32 wards from March 15

KATHMANDU, March 7: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is providing free legal consultancy services from each of its ward offices to the general people from March 15.

KATHMANDU, March 7: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is providing free legal consultancy services from each of its ward offices to the general people from March 15.

Basanta Acharya, information officer of the KMC, said they have started work to provide legal advice to the people free of cost from all 32 ward offices under the KMC. According to him, the metropolis is collaborating with Nepal Law Campus for this purpose.


The KMC-run help desk will run throughout the office hours every day. Senior citizens, physically disabled people will be given the main priority to receive the legal advice to be provided by the KMC. The KMC will be paying an individual legal consultant from Nepal Law Campus with Rs 15,000 per month.
