KATHMANDU, May 31: The Health Department of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) padlocked two pharmacies in the premises of TU Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharanjgung, on Thursday.
The Panorama Pharmacy and the Panchakanya Pharmacy run inside TU Teaching Hospital were padlocked based on complaints that they were breaching the rules, said Sajina Maharjan, officiating chief of the Department.

Maharjan added that proper temperature was not managed for vaccines and that narcotic drugs were sold without permission. The pharmacies were also found breaching the storage standards.
Maharjan further said that a study is being conducted on what actions could be taken to the pharmacies.
