KMC prohibits political parties and their sister organizations to hold programs in schools

KATHMANDU, April 27: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has banned political programs in schools.

KATHMANDU, April 27: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has banned political programs in schools.


Issuing a notice to all the schools, KMC said that complaints have been received with proof of the programs of political parties and their sister organizations organized in a few schools.

While stating that such programs have drawn its serious attention, the KMC has instructed all the schools not to hold such programs inside the school premises.


"The program of any political party and sister organization should not be held inside the school premises," said the metropolis in the notice. The KMC has also warned of departmental action against the principal if its instructions were flouted.
