KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has requested business persons and organizations to settle the dues they owe for keeping signboards outside their workplace within the next 30 days.
Issuing a public notice on Friday, the metropolis has asked individuals and organizations to pay the fee for keeping the identification plates within the next 30 days in ward offices.

The KMC has also warned of removing signboards if the fee is not paid or if the signboard is found to be larger than the prescribed size. If only one signboard is placed up to six square feet, Rs 500 will be charged. Similarly, Rs 1500 will be charged for boards up to 15 square feet, and Rs 1000 per square foot for sign boards more than 30 square feet in size, according to the metropolis. The KMC has prohibited keeping signboards above 30 square feet.
