KATHMANDU, June 24: The annual policies and programs of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) for the fiscal year 2023/24 has been unanimously endorsed.

In the first meeting of the convention, KMC Mayor Balendra Sah had presented a 11-point policy and a 125-point working policy for the upcoming year.
Key policies and programmes include 'one ward, one park and one sports ground'; clean, green, beautiful and dust free metropolis, accessible pharmacy, establishment and operation of health promotion center, creation of at least 5,000 new employment opportunities, support to organic food and vegetable self-sufficiency and plantation of at least 100,000 saplings.
KMC has floated a plan to brand and export traditional food and liquor, execute 10 metropolis pride projects within three years and institutionalize urban governance.
