KMC starts using dozers in its drive to clear illegal structures built in Tundikhel

KATHMANDU, Feb 17: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started using dozer to clear illegal structures built in Tundikhel.

KATHMANDU, Feb 17: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started using dozer to clear illegal structures built in Tundikhel.  


Stating that the reconstruction of Durbar High School and Bir Hospital has reached the completion stage, the metropolitan city has started its drive to clear the site by removing illegally built structures and construction materials piled up there.

KMC Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya said the drive to clear illegal structures has begun today and the bus park area will also be cleared gradually.  “We had allowed the construction materials used during the reconstruction of Durbar High School and Bir Hospital and temporary stay to some of the workers working there,” said Shakya, “But since the reconstruction of Durbar High School has already completed, we have launched a drive to clear the area by informing them from today.”
