KATHMANDU, June 12: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is preparing to operate 10 new smart toilets in the city. Speaking at the second executive meeting of the KMC on Sunday, Mayor Balendra Shah said that 10 smart toilets will be operated in the city.

Due to the lack of public toilets, 10 more smart toilets are being brought into operation in the city. Mayor Shah also said that some organizations in the metropolis are ready to allow the common people to use their toilets.
Mayor Shah made it clear that there would be no tax exemption for the organizations providing their toilets for public use. However, the metropolis will provide sanitation materials to such organizations even if there is no tax exemption. The metropolis is preparing to provide sanitation materials every four months.
