BIRATNAGAR, Oct 7: Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar Karki is scheduled to face a vote of confidence according to the Province Assembly Secretariat. The floor test will take place during an Assembly meeting this afternoon.
Earlier, CM Karki took the oath of office and secrecy on September 8. The Koshi Province Assembly comprises 29 members of the Nepali Congress, 40 of the CPN (UML) including the Deputy-Speaker, 13 of the CPN (Maoist Centre), four of CPN (Unified Socialist), six of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and one of Janata Samajbadi Party.

The Nepali Congress has already decided not to support the CPN (UML)-led government as per the decision of the NC Parliamentary Party, while other parties have not yet made their decision in this regard.
