KATHMANDU, May 14: Nirmala Limbu, a provincial assembly member in Koshi Province, has joined the Ashok Rai-led Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).
Her allegiance to the JSP, a newly established faction, was confirmed during an announcement on Tuesday.
Limbu appointed Health Minister of Koshi Province govt
This move comes after a split in the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, led by Upendra Yadav, prompting lawmakers to choose between the two splinter groups.
Previously the only member from Yadav's faction in Koshi Province, Limbu has now shifted her support to the Rai faction, leaving no representatives from Yadav's group in the province.
