KATHMANDU, July 16: Krishi Samagri Company has announced a contract to import 30,000 metric tons of urea fertilizer. The company opened the contract on Tuesday, inviting bids for the purchase of fertilizers through 'e-bidding'.
Bidders are required to submit their applications to Krishi Samagri Company in Kuleshwor by August 6. The fertilizer is intended for the winter crop of the current fiscal year.
Farmers to face fertilizer shortage next year too
The company currently holds a stock of 43,508 metric tons of fertilizer. Additionally, a total of 85,000 metric tons of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) and urea fertilizers are expected to arrive in Nepal soon.
