TEHRATHUM, Jan. 26: A labourer working for Upper Khorunga River Hydropower Project in Tehrathum district died on Friday after falling some 35 metres down near the powerhouse.

Ram Bahadur Chaudhary, 40, from Kanchanpur district died on the way to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, the police said.
Currently, around 100 workers are deployed in the construction of the Upper Khorunga River Hydropower Project being developed from Dhaulagiri Construction, Khadka Krishna JV. It is said that more than one-third of the total construction workers in Upper Khorunga are from Kanchanpur district only.
