DHARAN (SUNSARI), July 9: The Dharan-Dhankuta road has been obstructed due to landslide and flood following incessant rainfall.
Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Dhankuta, Rajbabu Maharjan, shared that vehicular movement was obstructed from this morning due to landslide that occurred at Sagurigadhi-6 of Dhankuta.

Landslide had taken place at Phedi, Ghante and Namaste waterfall area along the road section. The road was covered with stones and mud due to flood in Garjuwa stream.
Maharjan said, “Efforts are underway to resume the road section. One should adopt precaution while moving as landslide might occur anytime due to constant rainfall ."
Meanwhile, more than 10 houses at Dharan sub-metropolitan city are at risk due to flood following incessant rainfall.
Chairperson of Dharan sub metropolis-16, Murari Bhattarai, who reached there for onsite monitoring, said two families, who were most vulnerable to disaster, were sent to relatives and neighbours.
"Activities were underway to shift remaining families to safer places but the incessant rainfall has been making problem to it", he explained.
