DAMAULI, June 30: Landslides triggered by incessant rainfall have disrupted the Prithvi Highway at Myagdi-based Tharpu in Tanahun district. The torrential rain caused landslides, throwing the vehicular movement at Myagde-4 out of gear since early morning today.
Sub Inspector of Tharpu, Krishna Bahadur Baniya, informed that the highway got disrupted when a 12-wheeler large vehicle got stuck in the muddy road. “Though landslides continued, light vehicles were plying on the highway. The 12-wheeler got stuck when it was arbitrarily taken to the muddy road,” he said. “Efforts are underway to remove the landslide debris and resume the traffic operations.”
