Lawmaker Nepal flays govt for not living up to people's exceptions

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Senior leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday took strong exception to the government for its failure to control existing irregularities, rape and smuggling, let alone good governance.

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Senior leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday took strong exception to the government for its failure to control existing irregularities, rape and smuggling, let alone good governance.


Speaking at the parliament meeting in New Baneshwar today Lawmaker Nepal vented ire on the government saying that it could not live up to the expectations of the people and that the country is sliding into the perpetual abyss.

“The government should not refute the concerns of the people but realize what we have done so far. It should realize what mistakes we have committed and ponder over what could be the solution to the problems. If we do good jobs, the entire lawmakers and people will support us.


Coming down heavily on the government, Nepal said the corruption is going on unabated. The government is under fire over Nirmala rape and murder case of Kanchanpur, acid attack on a girl in Rautahat and other various irregularities and smuggling cases.
