Left alliance agrees on 43 seats of NA

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The joint task force of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) has agreed on the 43 seats out of 56 seats of the National Assembly (NA) allocation left alliance.

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The joint task force of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) has agreed on the 43 seats out of 56 seats of the National Assembly (NA) allocation left alliance.


The meeting held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, the meeting has agreed to decide on remaining seats on consensus with other parties within few days. According to CPN (MC) leader and one of the task force member Matrika Yadav , the task force has decided for 29 seats for CPN-UML whereas CPN(MC) will get 14 seats.

Party Unification Coordination Committee will make the final decision.


The alliance will hold discussion with other parties for remaining 13 seats of the NA, according to Yadav. The election of NA is scheduled for February 7.
