Ukraine War: Lessons for Nepal
Stating that Nepal has become the interest of the powerful countries of the world, he said that it was necessary to assess the situation in time and build national understanding on national issues. Dr Bhattarai said that the country could be in for a catastrophe if it does not learn from the events in Ukraine and does not maintain balanced relations with all countries.
Bhattarai said that democracy in the country is yet to flourish. He also claimed that democracy in the country would not be complete without a fully proportional parliament and a directly elected president or prime minister. Similarly, Bhattarai said that in order to save the country's economy, it is necessary to transform it into an economy that imports capital and technology and exports goods and services instead of an economy that exports labor and imports goods.
