KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The third highest ranking leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), Li Zhansu has paid courtesy call on Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nepal Agni Prasad Sapkota.
Li, who is on a four-day official visit to Nepal, was invited by Speaker Sapkota. Speaker Sapkota and officials of the Federal Parliament and Ministry of Foreign Affairs had welcomed Li earlier at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

After the courtesy meeting, a bilateral meeting was held between the Chinese delegation and Speaker Sapkota. Secretariat of Speaker Sapkota said that the chief whip of the party in the parliament, whip and member of the team of the Nepal-China Friendly Parliamentary Group were also present at the meeting.
During his stay in Nepal, Li Zhanshu will pay courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on September 14 and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on September 13.
